Another year or more..

2 more days and I’m finally flying back to the other side of the globe, my other world, am going back to work this Sunday, for another year or more, which I don’t know. But what I know now undoubtedly is the fullness of my 52-day vacation in the Philippines, of course with my family and friends.  I was supposed to leave last week but it’s unfortunate that I got sick. I had to rebook my flight then and had to spend a hundred bucks, no regrets though because I’d have enough time to stay with my family, to have more bonding and “taragis” moments with them, ang saya!  While having some rests and medications, I realized that I have to maximize my extended vacation with my family, and that’s what I did in the past few days.

My vacation started with a nice flight coming back here last dec.9.  I had a dinner blast on the first night.  It was followed by a 3-day Cebu escape with my mom and my sister, had witnessed one of my utol’s wedding as “best man”.  Also while in Cebu, I had the chance to see the aerial view of the city via “Skywalk” at the tallest hotel tower in the country, where I conquered my fear of heights, kaya ko naman pala, taragis!

Then it was PEBA night, really what a night. hell yeah, I was sooooo red (sabi ni Ro Anne, got her attention haha).  It’s really a privilege to be a PEBA judge and finally to have met and talked with several bloggers…and more bloggers on the SBA night. The awards, the games, the fun and everything during the SBA night were truly remarkable, isang gabi ng tawanan at kwentuhan, taragis ulit!

And then it’s Christmas, yeah right, my first time to celebrate Christmas here after 3 long years, ibang-iba talaga ang pasko sa Pinas, of course if we’re with the family and loved ones, that’s what it makes different.  And another year for us, it’s 2011.  It was also a blast for me, we had lots of firecrackers and I started the fun as early at 11pm.  Ang saya ng bagong taon ni BON.

Several activities were on the line; I attended our family reunion, was able to meet my college barkadas, and even joined our HS class reunion.  I can’t imagine I was able to squeeze these activities given a limited time.
There’s more..I was able to have a glimpse of Ilocos, of course Vigan, Batac and Laoag.  And there’s another fear I conquered, I was once with a tiger and several wild animals which I thought are harmful.  Unknowingly, these creatures were so lucky, yeah right, they were able to touch my neck and my body hahaha, inggit kayo? another taragis for me!

Well, I’d say that I have maximized my vacation; I want for more days though haha. My last few days of stay at home made me more geared up to leave for another long year of work and challenges.  It’s really a good thing that I started my 2011 with such happy thoughts and bits and pieces of memorable activities, simple things that made my vacation happy and meaningful. And now I’m leaving full of happy thoughts. We can always make life simple and happy. As what Dalai Lama says, “Happiness is not something ready-made; it comes from your own actions.”

Then why not make 2011 happy. Let’s always make our life happy.  See you all on my next vacation.

Tsinelas ko motorsiklo

May bago akong tsinelas! Ever heard about Dupé? No’ng nagbakasyon ako sa Pilipinas, nagkaroon ako ng chance na gamitin ang tsinelas na ‘to =) a friend from Dupe-Philippines gave me a pair of this cool flipflops. And I must say, I like and I enjoy using it. Dupe-Philippines has re-launched the slippers last December 2010; it’s been 4 months now and I think the sales are doing great now. We all know that these days, slippers have been part of our regular fashions, nakakapunta na nga tayo sa mall nang nakatsinelas nalang di ba, pagandahan at papormahan ang labanan.

Setup Helipad for Tomica Doctor Heli

I find a relatively small helicopter from Tomica collection at Robinsons' Toys R-Us for around Php 250. Tomica Doctor Heli, the scale is at 1:167. Though the scale size reads nearly N-scale, it's bigger than the usual n-scale model size. Nevertheless, it still looks nice with my current layout.
